Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-01
These terms cover your use of Sermon Helper (sermonhelper.church). They're written plainly on purpose. They aren't legal advice, and we may revise them as the service grows — we'll update the date above when we do.
Who we are
Sermon Helper is operated by Internet Outreach Experts (Dave Baker), based in Forest, Virginia, USA. Questions about these terms? Email pastordavidbaker@gmail.com.
What the service is
Sermon Helper is an AI-assisted sermon-preparation tool for pastors and church staff. It helps you research, draft, and produce sermons and related materials — but you are the preacher. Everything it generates is a starting point for your own judgment, editing, and use. Nothing you make here is auto-published anywhere.
Your account
- You must be an adult (18+). The service is intended for pastors, church staff, and other adult ministry users. It is not directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
- Keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate account information (your name and a working email).
Acceptable use
Use Sermon Helper for legitimate ministry and sermon-prep work. Don't use it to break the law, infringe others' rights, upload content you don't have the right to use, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service, or abuse the underlying AI providers. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content and who owns it
You own your work. The sermons you write or upload, and the outputs Sermon Helper generates from them, belong to you. We claim no ownership rights beyond what we need to operate the service for you. You grant us permission to store, process, and transmit your content to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy solely to produce your outputs.
Because Sermon Helper uses third-party AI to generate content, outputs may occasionally be inaccurate, resemble other material, or contain errors. A second AI fact-checks quotes and attributions in some workflows, but you are responsible for reviewing everything before you preach or publish it.
Share links
Some features let you create a public share link (for example, an Insights report). Anyone who has that URL can view the shared content until you revoke the link. Only share links with people you intend to see the content.
Billing, trial, and cancellation
- Sermon Helper is $19/month (the founding subscription price) after a 30-day free trial. Some accounts have complimentary access.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then.
- Subscriptions are billed for the full period. We don't offer partial or pro-rated refunds for time already paid. If something goes wrong on our end, email us and we'll make it right.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual sermons, automations, and other content in the app at any time. For full account deletion, email pastordavidbaker@gmail.com — this is handled manually for now, and we'll confirm when it's done.
Service availability
We work to keep Sermon Helper running well, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent allowed by law. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service; the tool assists your ministry, it doesn't replace your discernment.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Sermon Helper after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
